Israel urges Nasrallah assassination

Israeli cabinet ministers have called for the assassination of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Lebanon's resistance movement.

The comments came after Nasrallah said the Israeli army had left the remains of 'a large number' of soldiers that were killed in Lebanon during last year's 33-day war and that the Israeli army has nothing to say to the families of these soldiers.
Nasrallah made the remarks in a speech during the Ashura mourning ceremonies on Saturday.

"I don't understand why he is still breathing," Israeli Minister Yitzhak Cohen was quoted as saying Sunday by Haaretz.

"We should have taken him out a long, long time ago and it's never too late to do so," he said. "I will advise the security cabinet to assassinate the man."

"We don't need to negotiate with him, we need to destroy him," said Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit according to Haaretz.

Housing Minister Zeev Boim also called for the assassination of Nasrallah whose group fought a July-August 2006 war with Israel and imposed a humiliating defeat to the Israeli army.
The Israeli government has also threatened to kill the leaders of the Palestinian resistance movements. Observers believe this is an obvious example of state terrorism.
